Wednesday Season 2 Might Correct The Addams Family “Mistake” In The Program.

Although Wednesday has been a great hit on Netflix, season 2 might correct one flaw in the new Addams Family adaptation. With a focus on Wednesday Addams in her adolescent years, Tim Burton’s Wednesday returns the characters to the original Charles Addams cartoons. Wednesday, which stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, and a host of fresh faces to the world of The Addams Family.

Through Wednesday’s investigation, viewers learn more about the shadowy past of her parents’ school days and get to meet a young Morticia and Gomez (Gwen Jones and Lucius Hoyos). The remainder of the Addams family, meanwhile, hardly makes an appearance in Wednesday despite this narrative thread. Although it doesn’t last for many episodes, the Morticia and Gomez storyline plays a significant role in Wednesday’s journey. Pugsley is also given even less screen time. Season 2 may focus more on Wednesday’s life at home before returning, or the family might get more involved at the academy because Wednesday season 1 ended with the Nevermore pupils returning home at the end of the semester.
